Integrated CRS in Apglos Survey Wizard

The map of the world showing the coordinate systems integrated in Apglos Survey Wizard

Apglos Survey Wizard is the easiest land survey app. One of the reasons for this is that we integrated many coordinate reference systems (CRS) from all over the world in Apglos Survey Wizard.

All CRS are combined with a geoid. When you select a CRS in Apglos Survey Wizard, then automatically the correct geoid data will be downloaded and used.

NMEA 0183

The communication from the GNSS receiver and Apglos Survey Wizard is in NMEA 0183. Apglos Survey Wizard uses the NMEA strings GGA and GST.

Those are the only strings that Apglos Survey Wizard needs to display and use all the positioning information it needs.

Apglos Survey Wizard sends the GGA strings, that are received from the GNSS receiver, to an NTRIP caster.

The RTCM messages that are received from the NTRIP caster are  forwarded by the GPS app Apglos Survey Wizard without modification to the GNSS receiver.

Compatiblity with GNSS receivers

The land survey app Apglos Survey Wizard uses Bluetooth to communicate with GNSS receivers. In certain cases this land survey app for Android uses USB. In any case Apglos Survey Wizards reads the NMEA-0183 (GGA and GST) strings from the GNSS receiver to get the exact position. This means:

Apglos Survey Wizard is compatible with any GNSS receiver of all brands.
