Javad is a group of companies. There is Javad ArWest and Javad EMS. But the Javad company that is the most related with Apglos is Javad GNSS.

Javad, the company

On their website is not that much information about this company. But that does not mean that there is nothing to tell about this company.

First of all the headquartes of this company is in the USA. It is situated in San Jose in the state California. But besides this office they have a Research & Development center in Moscow.

In Moscow there are working around 100 people to developed and improve the products of Javad. They already did this with many products before.

In total the company  has around 200 employees. If you know that this company started in 2005, then you can understand that their growth was very well. Because in only 15 years they could reach this amount of employees.

The origin of the name is easy. In 2005 there was a doctor. His name was Javad Ashjaee. And he started the company. So the company is named after him.

The products of Javad GNSS

Javad GNSS produces many products. Most of them are as the name already says based on GNSS. This means that this company produces antennas, radio’s and GNSS boards. The GNSS boards are also available for OEM. So you can build them into your own device.

Of course they also manufacture their own accessoiries for their products. But the most interesting for Apglos are the GNSS receivers of Javad

Triumph M1 GNSS receiver

Javad has some GNSS receivers, but not all of them are for land surveying purposes.

GNSS receiver Triumph M1 of Javad

Most noticable is the color of the Triumph M1. The green color looks very interesting if you compare it with other GNSS receivers. But of course if you would make it any color than it would not matter for the performance of the GNSS receiver. So let’s check the specifications:

  • Dimensions: 178x178x96 mm
  • Weight: 1700 gram
  • Ingress protection: IP67
  • Corrections: NTRIP, RTCM2, RTCM3, CMR, JPS
  • Position output: NMEA
  • Positioning kinematic horizontal: 8 mm + 1 ppm
  • Positioning kinematic vertical: 15 mm + 1 ppm
  • GNSS signals tracked: GPS L1, L2, L5, GLONASS L1, L2, L3, BeiDou B1, B2, Galileo E1, E5a, E5b, AltBoc
  • Number of channels: 864

The number of channels is very big. And also the amount of GNSS signals tracked is big. Only some of those GNSS signals tracked is optional. This makes a difference in the performance of the receiver.

Surveying software for the GNSS receivers of Javad

Javad has several software packages. They are mainly for configuring the GNSS rceivers. But there is also Justin. Justin is a nice software package for post processing, but you can’t use it in the field when you want to map the area or stake out.

So they also created Javad Mobile Tools. It is an Android app.

As you can see there are many options. So you really need some knowledge to understand the complete application. Luckily there is a more easy solution that can make you work very quickly with the Triumph M1. That Android application is Apglos Survey Wizard.

Read here more about this easy to use land survey app. If you want to try it immediatly than it is also possible, because you can download it for free from the Google Play Store.
