Horizon is a company in Singapore. It manufactures lots of products for the land surveying market.

Horizon, the company

Many people know this company as Horizon. That name is also in the logo. But the company has also some other official name. That name is Survey Instrument Services Pte Ltd.

Mr. Tang Hui Jen started the company Horizon. Back in those days the company focussed on repair of instruments and they gave service to the clients that needed help on those instruments. Seeing the growth of the market Mr. Tang Hui Jen started to explore about production and manufacturing of land survey accessories in China. The first accessories that Horizon made in China were prisms, staves, tribachs and poles. That is the start of the company.

Horizon kept growing, because they listen and speak to their clients. That helps them to serve their clients better. Nowadays they distribute over more than 50 countries.

That is the result of their mission. Their mission is to offer good quality solutions that have value-for-dollar. They can keep the production costs low because of their office in Shanghai, China. But their main office is still in Singapore. That means that the prices are a bit higher. The Singaporean quality control makes the quality of the products well.

According their website they are better because they price and position their products for the best value.

They don’t believe in too cheap pricing to attract customers, because low prices will make quality, service and support lower. With this last part we can agree.
